Coming into his own at all of 14-years in Boulder, Colorado, Trevor Simpson’s obsession with electronic music production led him to his first set of turntables, and his destiny. Trevor became hooked on all things dance music, ultimately guiding him into a lifelong commitment to music and entertainment. His teen years were spent perfecting his craft and from his experiences, his first brainchild “Torque Productions,” an underground event company and clothing label, was born. In 1998, Torque Productions relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area where it has thrived to its fullest potential.
Enzyme Dynamite is part of The Bayliens, a new wave cutting edge hip hop group from California. The group consists of Enzyme Dynamite and Spaceman Cell and are backed by DJ True Justice. Known for innovation and electrifying performances that have landed them on the same stages with artists such as Lil Wayne, FloRida, Pitbull, Zion I, Living Legends, Too Short, E-40, NeYo, Sean Kingston, The Pack, Kevin Rudolf, Tech N9ne, Atmosphere, Murs, Slaughterhouse, Danity Kane, and many more. . Enzyme Dynamite is currently part of a Target stores and 5 Star Mead school supplies nationwide promotional campaign that has him featured on over 10 million 5 Star Mead products in Target stores nationwide. Accidental Tribe was born many years ago, after the break-up of yet another promising high school/college band. Becoming Beat A.Tribe, they decided to form a band with people that they enjoyed collaborating and playing music with. A band with each individual important, ”The whole is greater than the sum of its parts”.
Biggest influences have to be The Sons of Champlin, in particular Bill Champlin, and Terry Haggerty (one of the the best and most unique jazz/rock guitar players you’ll ever hear). Other major influences over the years are John Mclaughlin and Mahavishnu, Weather Report, Miles Davis, UK, Thomas Dolby, Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, and on and on…
